Chelsealya “Cookie” Payne was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Always a visionary, she started writing short stories at a young age, entered writing and spelling contests and always had an insatiable appetite for reading. Although she excelled in those areas, she always felt limited after being diagnosed, at an early age, as legally blind.
God has taken Chelsealya to astounding heights allowing her to overcome every limitation associated with the effects of having a disability. As she matured into adulthood, she overcame the grips of a volatile, toxic relationship, magnified by the internal battle of low self-esteem. Much to her surprise, it was those hardships that catapulted her into desiring a much better life for her and her young daughter. Not wanting the cycle of low self-esteem and low self-worth to be perpetuated down to her children, she took it upon herself to make a conscience decision to change the outcome of their future.
Armed with the passion to see others become the very best that they can be in life, Chelsealya set out on a mission. She is very active in her church and community and here is where God birthed this vision in her.
Her personal mission and divine vision is to empower others to impact their future.
In 2005, Chelsealya founded Payne and Glory, Inc. as an avenue to give a voice to the voiceless, and to make an empowering impact. In addition, received her certification as a Christian Life Coach and a Women’s Inner Power and Purpose Coach and started Epitome Coaching, a coaching, consulting and mentoring service for women.
As she shares messages of hope in hopeless situations, many are inspired, set-free, motivated and empowered to see beyond their disappointments and move towards their God given destiny.
